Mentor Registration

Before signing up please read the following requirements below. Thank you!

Requirements:

  • You must be in or be processing into high school at the time you have signed up

  • You must have had played the instrument for at least 5 years and be an intermediate player

  • You must have at least 1 hour of free time on the weekdays or weekends

Getting Started:

  • 10 days after you have applied we will send you more information via email about your student information and from there you may directly contact them about scheduling lessons and what they want to achieve in their lessons

  • You may decide to have your lessons on Zoom, Facetime, Google meet, etc however many lessons you and your student have decided on.

  • After 1 month an evaluation form will be sent out to both you and your student to ensure that your lessons are going well

  • You may continue with your lessons until you or your wishes to take a break or withdraw from Music Connect for any reason

Duties:

  • Please try to quickly respond to your student’s emails or text messages

  • If you or your withdraw or change the number of students you were assigned to at any given time please contact us a week in advanced

  • If you can not make a lesson for any reason, please contact your student 2 days prior to the lesson

  • Please keep in mind that you need to log your hours after every lesson for community service, and there is a form where you can do that below
